Our story · Alchème Studio

A slow rebellion, in a bowl of tea.

We bring high quality, Japanese, Chinese and Taiwanese tea to London from small farms — through mobile matcha bars, workshops, and quiet rituals of presence.

Why we exist

We invite you to come back to your senses.

We live in a world that pulls us outward — faster, louder, more disconnected. Alchème exists to gently bring you back to your body through the senses: scent, sound, taste, texture, presence. Rooted in ritual and simplicity, we reimagine the ancient art of tea for modern living — an invitation to stillness, awareness and sensory harmony.

A note from our founder

Where it began

My journey with tea began during a time when I was seeking more grounding and clarity. What started as a quiet personal ritual soon became a deeper path of study.

I've trained in the Japanese tea ceremony under a Japanese tea master, and studied Cha Dao — the Way of Tea — under Līva Franke, exploring how tea can be a tool for living with more intention and presence.

My aim is to create moments that awaken the senses, encourage curiosity, and reconnect us with the beauty of the present.

Our why

Four beliefs we pour into everything

I

A Return to the Senses

Every ritual is an invitation to feel again — scent, sound, taste, texture, presence. This is how we return.

II

Ritual as a Way of Living

Everyday moments hold magic when met with intention. Ritual isn't about perfection — it's about presence.

III

Rooted in Nature, Designed for Now

Inspired by forest walks, tea ceremony and seasonal rhythm — natural materials, small batches, made to be lived with.

IV

A Slow Rebellion

Slowness isn't passive — it's powerful. A pause, a breath, a reconnection; a new pace that's sensory, seasonal and soulful.
